He is experienced in all forms of core scanning technology and their implementation, management and use of data within the minerals industries. James has held several leadership roles where he led global operations, managed core scanner production facilities, and developed strategies to optimize instrument sales and service revenue. James is a strong advocate for the use of technology and integrated AI technologies to better understand resources and ground engineering from a geological, geotechnical and geometallurgical perspective; and can effectively interrogate and guide technical teams to make the most effective use of these data. 

Rory Somerset Commercial & Technical Director: Developer of the Xplore resource prospectivity mapping platform. 5 years experience in mineral exploration and 27 years’ global oil industry experience with a background in geology, drilling fluids, drilling engineering & reservoir engineering for geothermal & petroleum projects. Innovation experience includes design & development of novel modular P&A rig, novel reservoir engineering algorithms and FCD’s for improved EOR efficiency, creation of novel algorithm for modelling geothermal gas lift activation.
